Non-Toastmaster Guests can attend the first three meetings free.  From the fourth meeting onwards, a fee of RMB 10 per meeting will be charged.  This is to help us recuperate part of the rental costs of the meeting venue.  By attending our meetings, you can see how the program works, understand its benefits before deciding whether to join as a member.  Guests are invited to take part in the Table Topics session to practice his/her public speaking skills.  It is highly recommended that you read A Toastmasters Wears Many Hats before you attend our meeting.

Visitors from other Toastmasters clubs are always welcome to attend our meetings and participate in our Table Topics session. A fee of RMB 5 per meeting will apply.  With a written notice from your home club (email or fax) stating that you are a paid member in good standing, you can participate in roles reserved for members of our club.

New Members - If you decide to join us as a member, you should contact our Vice President of Membership and request for an application form.  After receipt of your completed application form, our Vice President of Membersip will arrange for you to make a one to two minutes application speech during a club meeting.  The objective of your application speech is to inform all members about your desire to join and the benefit you hope to gain through your membership. Club members will then vote on whether to accept you as a full member.

You will be informed about the voting results by email before the next meeting.  Successful applicants will become a full member after paying membership fees.  Relevant Toastmasters' materials and references will be sent to you after your membership has been processed by Toastmasters International World Headquarters.

Transferred, Reinstated, or Dual Members - If you are currently a member of another Toastmasters club, and you want to transfer your membership to Chengdu Toastmasters Club, a reference letter, fax or email by a club officer of your current club is required. If your membership has lapsed, you must complete all the steps for new membership and pay the New Member Fee. To expedite the process, download the application form, complete it, and submit to our Vice President of Membership.
